WFA hands on course Is an immersive class that brings you the experience of realism in a practical learning environment. You will participate in real life seniors after each learning segment. We demonstrate the skills and techniques and you practice, you will develop confidence in your ability to handle basic emergency’s in the outdoors.

Creating splints and assessing for bone breaks

Bears, Mountain Lions, Snakes, Scorpions, and animals specific to local regions
Lightning strike emergencys
Ttemperature extremes, Heat related emergency’s
Flash floods and canyoneering
Altitude illness, Frostbite, and Environmental Medicine
Anaphylaxis considerations and using an Epi Pen
Drowning & immersion treatments
Communicable diseases including Covid in the backcountry
Getting Lost and Rescue Signaling
Hydration considerations & appropriate water treatment’s
